Samsung halts tablet sales in Australia due to Apple fight, report says
Bloomberg reports that Apple and Samsung have reached an agreement during a hearing in federal court in Australia today. Samsung has agreed to stop advertising the shelf and not sell the unit until it wins court approval or the lawsuit is resolved. Apple, meanwhile, agreed to pay damages if it loses the case infringement.
This is the latest development in the legal battle between the rapidly escalating consumer electronics giants. Apple says Samsung copy the look and feel of the technology used in its products. Samsung denies the claim.The trial has spread rapidly in several courts around the world.
Apple is in the middle of the trial on multiple patents as it seeks to maintain its dominance in the smartphone tablet and emerging categories. His fight with Samsung is considered particularly important, as the Korean company saw its market share in the rising business with its smartphones successful line of smartphones Galaxy. Last week, Strategy Analytics reported Apple and Samsung Nokia exceeded for the top spots of the market share of smartphones.
