Frequently asked questions i have a jailbroken iphone 3g. i gave the iphone to my friend when i got a new one?

when i hit restore, the phone seemed to be restoring but then when it tried to turn on, a bunch of white letters come up on a black screen and it wont turn on, its plugged into itunes and still wont turn on. any suggestions?
