I want to sell my desktop computer but need to remove all personal information from hard drive?How do i do this without deleting the operating system since I do not have the installation disk? It's a dell computer-everything came pre-installed. I am not computer savvy so if any answers could be explained in very simple terms I would appreciate

Why not make the background you see on your computer screen something meaningful to you? Why not make an image of something that makes you smile?
This small change can really help your day go better. I use pictures of our garden roses in full bloom, pictures of family members happy and fun holiday photos. I change them regularly to keep everything fresh. Watching them always makes me feel better. So do not keep looking as Dell or HP logo.

more...Dell has sold computers preloaded with linux in the past and they have provided linux disks along with the microsoft disks. Perhaps you never bothered to check out the dismal sales they had. I don't blame dell or linux for that.
