SWAT helmets: workable solutions without breaking the bank Once you've resolved the question of what you are going to use to listen and speak, you must sign in with your radio and / or teammates
It's hard enough for uniformed patrol officers to communicate on the radio, road noise given move, your hands are tied up holding flashlights, ticket books, etc. for SWAT operators, that's all this and more - loud noises, the movement more athletic, and both hands are usually gripping a gun. What is the best option or combination of options for tactical communications?
Let's break it down into two parts: the microphone / speaker himself, and the communication link with the radio or colleagues of the team. A loudspeaker shoulder regular micro / will not cut it. In a very noisy environment, you may not be able to hear the radio, in a low-noise, the wicked can not hear you. You need a helmet that pump sound directly into your ears, and hands-free microphone.

The product has a universal AUX cable coming out from the bottem of the dock which can be used in any cellphone with a headphone jack. The USB port on the right side facing you is for charging your device. It comes with both Micro and Mini USB cables but you can use whatever cable you have in your possession. Depending on were your cigarette lighter is located in your car you can't really have this device point straight up. If you take a turn and the dock is vertical it will tip left or right, however this is if your lighter is on your dash instead of your console. Audio is alright depending on if you find that sweet spot in the FM dial. It's big enough for the Epic 4g however EVO owners shouldn't gamble on this. For all other phone owners this is a nice Car dock in a iphone run market. If you want anything close to this it will be in peaces instead of one unit.PROS: All in one design, universal, stylishCons: Will tip if vertical depending on location of lighter plugin. FM tuners need a sit down session to find the right station to sync.I rate it 5 stars because it's the best a non iphone user can get depending on the phone and the accessory support from the main company and other companies. The tip is a problem, but I can't blame the product when it's just were the lighter is in my car. My friend has the same model, but he owns a VW were the lighter is were the emergency brake is so he have it vertical with no problems.UPDATE***Well mine just broke. I have theory as to why, but I wont list them because while mine broke my friend's is still working. I'll strongly recommend you to logically look at were your cigarette port is located because this thing is very top heavy. 3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Not a good solution - Sound quality is poor, not a fit for Blackberry By Technology Leader I bought this device for my Verizon Blackberry Tour 9630. On paper it has all the right features; power, audio jack, and FM transmitter,In reality the device doesn't fit for a blackberry unless you are willing not to use the USB power cable for 2 reasons:1) The USB jack location on the Blackberry overlaps with the device clamps, which makes it almost impossible to position.2) The audio quality is poor once you charge the device, an high pitch sounds played in the background. However, if you do not care about powering your device while driving, this will be a fit for your blackberry sound needs.Your judgment - I am returning this device as we speak. 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Flawed Design. Worked okay about 7 times in the car not over 7 hours total time before simply dying for no reason. JUNK! By Z. Bowles Okay first off...It's Amazon price makes this item a SEEM like a pretty good bargain for all it does. Most cell phone car chargers cost as much or more then this whole device which does a lot more...It's design in my opinion is flawed however. I'll explain below. The worst part is now that I've had it about a month, it simply stopper working period. This item is JUNK.It works as described until it just freezes up and stops working with a non-legible reading on the radio dial LED screen. While it remains working, it plugs into your cigarette lighter in your car and can both charge and stream your smart phone music over your car stereo. The problems start here.. The resulting sound quality is workable, but certainly not perfect. It is nearly impossible to find a clear enough static on your FM dial so that the music can be heard clearly without some level of static/hiss in the background. It's not too bad if you play with it and find a good FM station, but in bigger cities, this might be a HUGE problem.Another problem is the ridiculous design of the flex shaft going from the cigarette adapter to the phone mount. The phone mount idea is fine.
These days, when I'm in someone's else's car with a tape deck and we want to listen to selections from an iPod, that same cassette adapter still comes in handy. Sure, we'll still cross paths with the cassette deck from time to time,
