Griffin Helo TC: Pure Joy for the Helicopter Pilot in All of Us

Griffin's latest gadget, the TC is their last Helo App-powered toy, which in this case allows the owner / operator to play a helicopter pilot through a simple application IOS. You can literally control what is inside miniature helicopter by tilting your iPhone / iPod touch / etc and moving in turn by helicopter (via your iDevice is accelerometer) or via your touch screen devices. You can even program up to three flights in advance and custom then sit back and watch it do its thing. Fortunately, replacement rotors are included for when you program in a wall and needs some TLC!

The only caveat is that you will join a small battery (four AAA batteries) for your first iDevice. Fortunately, this transmitter is supplied with the TC Helo.

Half Crazy

Between last season's excruciatingly frustrating proximal hamstring injury and the carpal tunnel surgery and recovery of the last two months, great running days have been few and far between. Having road races and triathlons on my schedule help me focus on training and make exercise seem less like drudgery . I also enjoy the time outside with my thoughts, maybe some tunes on my iPod, and nature. I'm not big on the "social" aspect of running or cycling, with the exception of road races and triathlons. (And in those situations, I'm really only "social" before and after the race. Aside from occasional comments to lighten the mood or encourage another runner or give a grateful shout out to a race volunteer or public safety officer, I really don't talk much during the race. I'm usually too busy with my endless internal dialogue.
