Even if you are a regular listener, you may not have noticed. But Thursday, Tom Leykis pulled a fast one on you. Instead of his 3 to 7 p.m. webcast - heard at www.TomLeykis.com , and on smartphones and iPod Touches via the Tune-In app - Leykis came on at 1 p.m. and was live until 5 p.m.
Why the change?
It was because of the Los Angeles Kings, who hosted the Phoenix Coyotes in the NHL Western Conference Finals Thursday night. Leykis is a huge hockey fan and wanted to see the home team live. And that conflicted with his show.
Rather than calling in "sick," Leykis recorded the last part of his show first. So if you tuned in at 1 p.m. you heard "Leykis 101" live; at 3 p.m. the usual topical banter began. Then at 5 p.m.
